Two of Corfu's most iconic views are actually other islands: the tiny Pontikonisi, also known as Mouse Island, which is just big enough to house the Pantokrator Monastery, and the nearby renowned Vlacherna islet, which is connected to the mainland by a narrow causeway and has a 17th-century monastery devoted to the Virgin Mary. On Easter Monday, Mass is celebrated here.
