The Odysseus island

The Neolithic Age saw the first inhabitants of Ithaca, the capital of Odysseus' empire. Homer's Ithaca has yet to be revealed, despite the investigation. However, more than 30 archeological sites have been discovered as a result of excavations. We all hope that Odysseus' palace will be discovered at some point in the future.

Other celebrities that have stayed here include Madonna, The Beach Boys, and the Mamma Mia cast, in addition to Onassis and Jackie O.

Anogi’s menhirs

There are fascinating stone monoliths called menhirs near the medieval town of Anogi. Despite being completely natural, they have the appearance of something from Game of Thrones! Araklis is the most remarkable.

Scuba diving

Poseidon's stunning valleys, caverns, and reefs are located deep beneath Ithaca and are ideal for scuba diving. Keep a look out for the extremely shy Mediterranean monk seals (Monachus monachus), which seek sanctuary on the island's rocky coastlines, though you'd be extremely lucky to spot one.

Loizos Cave

The Loizis Cave, which is outside of Stavro, gets its name from the guy who made a fortune by selling gold coins he discovered there to robbers. Statues of deities including Artemis, Athena, Hera, and others discovered within the cave attest to its use as a place of devotion from the Early Helladic Period until the first century AD.
